1. Who we are

ABBYSS Software is a Netherlands-based software, technology and AI application company. For privacy questions, contact us at hi@abbyss.nl.

2. Data we collect

We may collect personal data that you provide directly, such as your name, email address, company details, project type and message when you use our contact form or communicate with us.

When we build or operate applications for customers, the relevant application may process account data, workflow data, uploaded files, meeting notes, social media content, service records, analytics, API identifiers and technical logs, depending on the product and customer agreement.

3. Social media integrations and API data

Some ABBYSS products may connect to third-party platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta, Instagram, Facebook or other social media services when a user or customer explicitly authorizes the integration.

Depending on the permissions granted by the platform and the product feature, we may process social account identifiers, page or business account identifiers, profile information, post text, media references, campaign metadata, comments, engagement metrics, publishing status, access tokens and refresh tokens.

We use this data only to provide the requested product features, such as scheduling content, preparing AI-assisted drafts, publishing approved content, reporting performance or synchronizing workflow status. We do not sell social media API data. We do not use platform data to train general AI models unless a separate written agreement permits it.

4. AI processing

Our applications may use AI models to summarize, classify, draft, search or recommend information. AI outputs can be imperfect and should be reviewed by users where decisions matter. Customer data is processed according to the applicable product agreement and provider settings.

5. Legal bases

We process personal data where it is necessary to respond to requests, perform a contract, operate and secure our services, comply with legal obligations or pursue legitimate business interests that do not override individual rights. Where required, we ask for consent.

6. Cookies and website analytics

The public website currently uses only a small local consent preference and does not load non-essential analytics or advertising cookies. If analytics, pixels or marketing cookies are added later, they will be controlled through the cookie consent mechanism where required.

7. Sharing data

We may share data with hosting providers, email providers, infrastructure vendors, AI service providers, social media platforms that you connect, and professional advisors where necessary. We require service providers to handle data securely and only for the agreed purpose.

8. Retention

Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain business records. Application data retention depends on the relevant product, customer agreement and legal obligations. Access tokens are retained only while an integration remains active or as required to provide the service.

9. Your rights and data deletion

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to request portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To request data deletion, email hi@abbyss.nl with the subject Data deletion request. Include the email address or account identifier connected to the request. We will verify and process valid requests within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days, unless we must retain data for legal, security or contractual reasons.

You can also revoke connected social media permissions directly in the settings of the relevant platform, such as LinkedIn, Meta, Instagram or Facebook.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS, access controls and secure infrastructure practices. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or provider transfer mechanisms.
